News From Scotland

Here is information we have received about 2017 events taking place in Scotland…

In May we had a very successful first visit from H.E. Ambassador Mark Regev. It culminated in a very uplifting Israel Independence day celebration at the Scottish Parliament http://www.heraldscotland.com/news/15295645.Israeli_envoy_evokes_spirit_of_Scottish_independence_veterans_in_friendly_overture_to_critical_SNP/. I hope you were able to make one of the public events in Glasgow or Edinburgh too!

In June there was the second meeting of the Cross Party Group Building Bridges with Israel at the Parliament. This meeting focused on trade and tourism and was very productive. The press release is attached.

Another notable positive development has been the establishment of the Church of Scotland Israel Friendship Forum. For more info on this CofS Ministers and members group please email Chrissy on cofsisraelfriendsforum@gmail.com

As we start summer there are a couple of events I would like to flag up.

Includes a free exhibition, ticketed gala concert on Thurs eve and ticketed performances for Incubator who were protested out of the Edinburgh Fringe in 2014. It is wonderful that they have returned.
